Upcoming Events

Over the course of our weekend together, we will learn from and pray with three women mystics. Hildegard, Mechthild and Gertrude all lived in Germany nearly a thousand years ago yet there is much they can teach us about the prayerful life and finding light in dark spaces.

We will begin our time Friday evening with communal prayer and an introduction to a mystic. Three subsequent sessions will introduce the other mystics and weave together the wisdom they offer us as modern women. Group spiritual direction sessions will be offered between prayer times. Our weekend together will conclude before lunch on Sunday.

Sacred Heart Monastery in Cullman, Alabama is home to a community of Benedictine nuns. The grounds cover twenty plus acres and offer space to walk, pray and rest. Each room has a private bathroom, a desk and a comfortable chair. The cost of $450 includes meals, snacks and custom retreat materials. Please click the button below to register.
